BUT WHY? THE IMPORTANCE OF CURIOSITY

What is that age old proverb; curiosity killed the cat?

But curiosity enables questions and invites innovation and creativity, so why pose curiosity as a bad thing?

Life is a series of cycles—and it all stems from curiosity. And more often than not, we are faced with questions, decisions and trial and error situations, that require us to push the envelope and make us question our boundaries.

I think lots of times we tend to overlook curiosity—we stop questioning life and as a result, we plateau.

Remember as a child, we'd question everything—even when things made no sense. We exhausted the phrase, "but why?"

Yes, curiosity can be a double-edged sword if you will. It can lead you astray, but it also allows us to explore, dream and create things, which inevitably helps us grow and evolve.

Curiosity is thirst—it's raw and rich—and many times we get stuck because we're not ready to explore the opportunities that lie outside our comfort zones or even worse, we don't care since we're too busy working that 9-5 grind and living our monotonous lives.

I feel you. It's easy to get in the groove of things and go day to day without questioning our growth or trying to move ahead, because really we're just trying to get by.

But curiosity can change the game.

It helps create better careers, richer lives and wholesome minds and characters because we can move and expand.

Why do things interest you? Why do certain things make you happy? Why are you drawn to certain adventures?

Question life; no matter big or small. And celebrate curiosity. Quench your thirst with knowledge and drench yourself in experiences.
