LEMON MINT ICE CUBES

Recently, I have been trying to be more aware of choosing to drink water, considering everything else is loaded with sugar, and water seems to be the cure to everything—clearer skin, weight loss and just a better functioning body and mind overall.

I am a flavored water type of gal. Either I find myself drinking a classy glass of sparkling water or squeezing the infamous lemons in a jug of water and chugging it randomly throughout the day.

One of my favorite brands of water is Metromint. It is flavored water, infused with the essence of mint. There's a variety of flavors ranging from plain peppermint to chocolate mint and it's absolutely delicious and healthy...but the price is over $3 for a bottle.

I have seen so many fruit-infused water on social media, and it seems to be an easy trend, so I decided I wanted join this movement.

Let's Mingle Blog makes the cutest cubes with the best flavors, and they inspired me to make my own.

First you need the water and cube tray.

I filled mine with distilled water. (Yes, I am that person who won't drink tap water.) Then I added wedges of lemon and a sprig of mint to each individual cube.

It's as easy as that!

After the cubes chilled in the freezer, I added them to my water bottle. Throughout the day, the cubes obviously melt, but the lemons and mint are still fragrant and yummy, not too mention pretty in the water.

It's thirst quenching and an easy-peezy lemon-squeezey trick to transform your water to a refreshing summer drink with your favorite flavors, while still staying healthy.

Enjoy!
